Question. Why on earth do PCOSers take BCP to begin with?

THE ONLY thing BCP are good for is to give your body a break. Max should be 3 to 4 months of taking it in my opinion. BCP only mask PCOS. It doesnt help the actual problem of PCOS which is the whole insulin bit.

If you don't want to concieve there are other (better) methods to use as BC.

I guess I look at it this way. Our hormones are screwed up, right? Why screw them up more with BCP? Why constantly take that medication knowing it isn't really doing anything good except giving you a menstral? You can do that with Provera and thats only 10 days of pills.

I guess I just don't get it. Explain it to me please.
