Every PCOSer is different. Different things work for different people. There is no % as a group only as an individual. Some have had success on clomid. Not all and not a lot. Clomid is always the first step that every PCOS has been on I can almost guarentee. LOL. Clomid can make you nuts too so warn hubby of mood swings. Clomid should NOT be taken more then 6 months consecutive. 5 months is the common. If it isnt working in that time frame, its time to find something else in my opinion. (I am not a doctor). Also, it may work the first few months then may not work after that. This is also common. We tend to build an immune system against it.

Getting an RE (reproductive endo) is very important to PCOS. Once you do become pregnant, be careful. PCOSers have a high rate of miscarriages. Make sure you are heavily monitored, eat well and take Folic acid and a daily vitamin. This may help but no guarentees.

If you are successful in carrying thru the pregnancy, this does not mean you no longer have PCOS although you may appear to be 'normal' up to 2 years after giving birth. There is no cure - yet! You will need to be under the eye of a doctor specializing in PCOS for the remainder of your life.
