Any doctor that refuses to give these pills for such stupid reasons needs to be checked out. Find a new RE. One that is willing to work with you more on a personal level and explain more.

Not all meds work for everyone. Unless he has a good reason, whats the harm in trying? Also, Gluc is not for losing weight. Its to get your body to listen to what the insulin wants your body to do. Losing weight is a trickle down effect and does not always work for losing weight. It takes more then a pill to do that. Gluc, exercising and lowcarbing all together under the supervision of yoru family doctor, RE and nutrionalist haver been very effective for many people.

Do more research and find a new doctor.
