Hi Jennifer, No I wasn't on a low carb diet...But I am not really a big eater. I am now watching my carb intake, But can't figure out how many a day I should have..I had a total of 5 carbs yesterday. I think I should be eating more though, My hubby says I should at least allow myself 100 carbs a day. When I started looking at the carbs in everything, I couldn't believe it. I have now lost another 4 pounds, so that makes 14 1/2 since Monday. I think that is why I am so bound and determined to stick to low carbs. I agree with your doc about not beating yourself up over it, Just watch what you eat, You won't believe how much more cautious you will be though. And if you are going camping I wouldn't take the gluco either, not that you will having any side effects, but you never know. Like I said, I have an occasional bout of gastro, but nothing to panic over. Good Luck, and have fun this weekend. Deb
