Glucophage w/no nasty side effects???

I was just diagnosed with PCOS by my OB, and he prescribed Glucophage.
Not knowing anything about the drug, I've been reading the posts and
have been very discouraged by everyone's side effects - has anyone taken
the drug and not experienced the gastro problems? I haven't started
taking it yet, still have more tests before he wants me to start...
