Laura,

It's not that I'm not supposed to take it regularly, it's just a matter of slowing down enough to deal with the side effects. I'm a single mom of a 16 year old and a seven year old. I don't have any family living around here, so there's no "back up" system, per se. I work full time and commute to work 40 minutes each way. I also go to school one night a week in accellerated college courses as I work on my BS:BA. Top this off with TRYING to have some social life and HOPEFULLY sometime find a steady beau and it's a wonder I remember to take time to do ANYTHING...although I AM guilty of being so busy I don't take time to eat at regular intervals. (That causes headaches and some of the gastric distress, I think.) I have a tendency toward irritable bowel problems to begin with, glucophage just worsens it. So...I'm just trying to figure out when I can start it regularly and know that I'll stick to it. Since most docs recommend taking the XR at supper, and that's the meal I eat the most irregularly (like on school nights, I pretty much miss it all together), it's really a trick trying to figure out HOW I'm going to manage it. I'M OPEN TO ANY SUGGESTIONS FROM ANYONE ELSE WHO KNOWS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE ON THE GO SO MUCH THAT YOU FEEL YOU LIVE IN YOUR CAR!

Thanks!

Keep us posted on how things are going for you, Laura! Good luck!

Hugs,

Shelley
