A few months back, I saw a perinatologist re: getting pg (or attempting to do so). I am on 30 mg Actos, and despite calling himself "very conservative," he indicated that the risks to the baby are greater for me to go off Actos than to remain on it. Your RE may have the heebie-jeebies about maintaining an insulin sensitizer during pgy, but do insist on it. Assure him/her that you will be very careful, have constant monitoring, and be willing to sign a release form if s/he desires it.
