HI Teresa,

It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted here but I saw yours and thought I would tell you what happened with me on Actos. I was put on Actos last year around May..by July I found out I was pregnant!! So yes Actos does work. Unfortunately my doctor told me to stop taking Actos when my HCG test came back as pregnant. Because I stopped taking Actos and was not put on met or anything to help controll the insulin I lost my baby at 21 1/2 weeks. I thought I was being careful enough with carbs..but found out later that I really should have been put on met..(they don't know if Actos is safe in pregnancy). So now i'm going to see a new Doctor June 14th. I found a Doctor last week at Stanford University Med Center (it's an hour drive but worth it) who Specializes in PCOS and is doing a lot of research on PCOS and pregnancy. So hopefully next time I get pregnant I will have better monitoring and care. I hope I gave you some encouragement that Actos works...but please dont let your doctor take you off of insulin sensitizers while pregnant. I truely believe that the benifit out weighs the risk!!

Good Luck and take care, Dona
