Hi Elaine
I would recommend that you purchase and read the book "Syndrome X" by
Burton Berkson M.D.
It has a chapter about Nutra sweet,Caffiene and the affects it has on
insulin resistance!!
It stated that Caffiene can actually elevate blood glucose levels and
exasserbates IR. Nutrasweet destroys nurons and contributes to the
developement of nervouse system and brain disoders such as Alzhiemer's
disease. Nutra Sweet (asparatime)does not promote insulin resistance
but is bad for your overall health. It also tends to be very hard on
kidney's. the best drink for our bodies is pure clean WATER!
Hope this helped.
