Hi Kristin,

Some people experinece tiredness while on metformin, and it is a side effect due to the hypoglycemia the drug may induce. But if your body really hurts, it maybe something else: lactic acidosis, which is also a side effect, but may get serious. Please see your doc, have fasting glucose and acidodsis tests done.
