Glucophage XRFrom: Dawn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 May 2001 12:02:15 -0500 (CDT)
Hi! I am in the process of being diagnosed with PCOS. I have had a fasting glucose of 140 and another (the next week) of 125. I know I'm right on the edge of diabetes. I am going to the dr today to find out what course of action we are going to take. I have a couple of questions: Does the extended release work as well as taking the Met (Gluc) more than once a day? After reading abou the side affects, I'm nervous about taking the regular Met. Also, if Met isn't an accepted med for PCOS has anyone had their insurance refuse to pay for it? I had insurance refuse to pay for Inderol when I was hyperthyroid because it was for high blood pressure. Thanks! Dawn
