I don't remember anything on the insert of the pkg stating anything about depression,nor was there anything in the PDR, and my RE said nothing about it. I was on Demulen 1/50 for a little more than one year with pretty good results. It controlled my cycles (actually gave me regular bleeds) with very few (almost no) side effects. The only difficulty that can arise from this med (as with any BCP high in estrogen) is an increased risk of clotting. If you smoke, don't take this BCP, as the incidence of developing DVTs (clots) increases with smoking and age. The best bet is to talk to your RE about your concerns and closely monitor your progress. Don't look for the worst to happen, but be as objective as you can and keep a chart for a few months.
