After having been on Demulen for almost 2 years I would advise you to tread very carefully before you go on it. While I didn't notice any marked differences in mood (I stayed generally pretty happy) this past octobber I was diagnosed with retinal vein occlusion in my eye, which is basically a blood clot caused from the Demulin. These are extremely rare, I know, but I would just warn you in case. Other wise I didn't experience any other side effects; although I didn't think it significantly reduced acne it did prevent new hair growth. Hope this helps a bit.
