I have been on Prednisone 5mg at bedtime along with Metformin 1500mg a day for 3 years now. I have my bloodwork checked every 4 months and for the so far all my levels are within normal limits. I have ovulated every month since being on the meds. When I became pregnant last July my RE continued me on the Prednisone but took me off the Metformin. I had a missed miscarriage in my 7th week after stopping the Metformin. When I do conceive again my RE will keep me on the Met for the pregnancy. All in all I am very happy with the results of the two meds. Hope this helped. Christine
