I am now up to 2000 mg. per day (taking 1 - 1000 mg tabs twice per day) . Does your doc plan on going higher than 1000 eventually? Maybe he's not familiar with met being used this way and is worried about giving you too high a dosage? Not sure... but you were right, there are many of us that have phased into 1500 to 2000 mg per day. Hope you can tolerate it, it can work wonders :-) Susan C.
