Hi Sue, I have been posting here now on and off for a year now. Most of the poeple on this board have been a great source of encouragement and information. I relize that English being his second language can cause communication problems and misunderstandings. My mother is from Mexico and she often does not understand certain sayings (expressions) in English and gets upset with people...including me. She speaks with a heavy accent and what I call broken english or spanglish if you will (Smile). Yes it does seem that The Treatment for PCOS in europe is differant than in the united states.Thats why I think it is important for people to say were they are from when asking for advice....we dont have some of the same medications in the US that are available in europe and they dont have some of the insulin sensitizers that are available in the US. And even some of the doasages seem to be different...so when someone says what dosage they are on...it might not be a wrong dosage...but what the common dosage is that there MD likes to Rx.EI my doctor recommends 500mg metformin 3 times a day with meals..Dr Sam says 850 mg 2 x a day...that does not make either one of these MD's wrong..it is just how they were trained or the research they have done. I feel this board is an Open forum and we should be able to discuss a variety differant medications wether it be herbal, birth controll or antiandrogens.I dont feel we are recommending these drugs but relaying our experiences on them...that is why some woman on here get upset when Dr. Sam or others post not to use these drugs or talk about them. I think we all need to learn to agree to disagree on some issues and to keep this a vital place of information and support. I hope we all can move forward from here and keep supporting each other.I dont know what I would do without some of you ladies.Sue,zowie,Citikid,Susan, amy, staceylynne, jen and yes even Annette who had a wonderful list of websites and books. You all have helped me more than you could ever know.On the other Forum Paula,Sonnet, chris and emma,Bonnie(hey koolaide!),Christa,Kim...and others who I can not think of now...Your all wonderful and I want to thank you all for being here and for your support. It's all these paople that make this board worth visiting...and yes even Sam Sometimes..even thoug he knows how to push buttons at times (smile). I wont be posting here for a while I need to take a break. if anyone wants to e mail me privately your welcome to do so. Love you all, God Bless Dona
