HI, be very careful with medication allergies and don't take it till you speak to your doctor. If the hives don't go away in a few hours I would go to an emergency room you may need a shot of epinephrine as well as the benedryl. The reason why I am telling you this is because I have almost died twice from allergic reactions the first was to a medication called Compazine and the second time was due to a Latex allergy. Allergic reactions can become deadly so please do be careful and if you feel like you are having asthma type symptoms or feel as though your having difficulty breathing as well as hives please go to the emergency room ASAP. Hope all is well with you,Dona
