Dear Sherry,

I can't start with "just little elevated" hormone levels. Which hormones and which values? Again: I can't interpret brand name medicines (Diovan, Sarafem, Advil). As of your case: unfortunately, metformin doesn't reduce weight for everybody, but Actos definitely doesn't either, in fact some women gain weight on it. In your earlier posting you mention ovulatory pains, which you definitely can't have as you haven't had a period (and ovulation) since March 2000. This also shows how desparate and unjustifiable it would be to have a hysterectomy, not mentioning the huge risks involved with such an operation and your weight. Looking forward to further info

Sam
