My hormone levels haven't been checked out in a while but when they did they said that they were just elevated just a little. I am insulin resistant, have had High blood pressure since I was 17, can't lose weight, gain about 15 to 20 every year, VERY frustrated with low carbing, exercise with no results. I haven't had a period since March 17, 2000, I have been dealing with a dull ache in my back and lower abodmen for the last 3 days. 2 Advil don't cut it I have to take 4 just to take the edge off. I feel like I just had sugery and have to take it easy. I was just wondering if getting a hysterectomy would help ease the worry of getting cancer, wondering if all the cyst building up on my ovaries is going to burst or just cause things to get worse. It worries me that they just sit there on my ovaries and don't do what they are suppose to do. I have talk to my family doctor and he says that although it wouldn't get rid of my PCOS, At least being on the Estrone replacement drugs would keep them at a normal level and I might have a better chance of losing weight. I'm going to talk to my obgyn in May. I'm on Diovan, Aldactone, glucophage and Sarafem. Any suggestions Dr. Sam?????
