Forgot to answere your question about Insulin resistance. As I undrstand it ..my body makes more insulin that it can properly use.We tend to store insulin as fat which is why many of us are overweight...excess insulin also causes the cysts on our overies and the overproduction of androgens. Too many carbs are body makes even more insulin. Eventually with some of us are pancreas will no longer be able to handle the over production of insulin and shuts down thus making us diabetic. there are 2 types of diabetics as I understand it. Insulin dependant that need the insulin injections because there body doesnt produce it. Or medication dependant because there insulin level is too low because the pancreas is worn down.I hope I explained this correctly if not i'm sure someone on here can explain it more clearly.maybe Dr Sam can explain it for you .
