Hey there. I am so glad u feel a little better abt your Sh*TTY experience. Ya know for yrs ( well the last 5 yrs ) mt biggest complaint was * Where in the He!! is this weight comin from * My Ob never had an answer for me, I never argued with him either. He would say * Really Melissa U are not all that big * I stand 5'7 and at the time of seein him I weighed 225.5 * Don't tell me I am not all that big. ARRRR... Anyway. I found a really Great RE who pretty much answered my prayers and found out WHY i was gaining weight. I was IR.... So he gave me Metformin..... I thought YEAH my prayers have been answered and for 2 months they were I lost 25.5 of the 225.5. I have no idea what is in Met but the weight for me just FELL off..... BUT the second month into it My hair started fallin out. Ok now I know that is a side effect of PCOS , BUT my hair was just FINE until Metformin. So in answer to your question * what am I doin abt the hair loss * Well for starters I am slowly weaning myself off the Met after 5 months on it ( since I know that is what started it)Second of all I started takin Saw Palmetto Berries to help lower my androgens and Vitex to normalize things. AND IT IS WORKING!!! I was on met for 5 months and never had a cycle AT ALL on it EVER!!! I DON'T BUY THE IT CAN TAKE THIS LONG FOR YOUR CYCLES TO NORMALIZE!!! That too me is a bunch of BULL!!! In my eyes anyway. Met was just not for me. I'm personally exauhsted with doctors. I'm tired of my blood bein drawn. I'm tired of my legs up in the air etc etc...I'm just doin things my way now naturally. Anyway My hair is still falling out , but NOT AS bad. Let's just say it does not clog the drain anymore. and After 4 months of provera induced cycles.. After starting the herbs I had a 27 day cycle ALL on myown. Maybe it was fluke, maybe not only time will tell. All I do know is I am researching alternative therapies now. I hope I answered your question. I sure know I babbled alot abt nothin. Missy
