I have been on spironolactone 25mg ( four pills once a day) for over a year. The spironolactone helped a lot with hirsutism and acne, but the results of the metformin have blown both me and my doctors away. I have lost 40 pounds in the time I have been taking it. Although I am yet to see what any long term effects may be, I am hopefull that I have found my solution.
