Re: PCOS or Cushings? For Zowie and ChristaFrom: Staceylynne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Mar 2001 19:29:12 -0600 (CST)
Hi ladies... I am right where you are. I have been seeing an RE becuase my husband and I have been having problems conceiving and have had 3 misscarraiges to boot. I was diagnosed via T/V U/S in Dec '99 and have been looking for a Dr to treat me since. My RE did 15 different blood work ups and called me to tell me all my levels were normal. I do not have PCO. I then reminded him PCO can not be traced by blood tests. He didn't like that oo much and brought up Cushings Syndrome. WHATEVER...... on a hunch - I had my RE's office fax my OBGYN (who has treated pateints with PCO before) and she calle dand told me she was seeing a very different story. You really need to go to someone who has experinece with PCO - or go to the man himself. Dr Eric Futterweit. He's located in NYC - don't know where you 2 are from - but I send lots of hugs and support your way - beacuse if it wasn't for all you wonderful ladies and this web site - I would have lost my mind. When in doubt.....go see another Dr!!!!!!! PCO will get worse without treatment. Take care and be good to yourself. Keep us updated!!!! Love your cyster Staceylynne :0)
