I know they say it is not healthy to go for long periods of time without having a period but give me a break to be bleeding for 6 months. Have you thought about seeing another Dr about this problem? I am doing well. We are in the process of trying to have our third child. I have been taking Avandia for about a month and it seems to be working ok. I also took Clomid to help in ovulation. We will see in a few weeks if all is working with my body. According to the ovulation test I did ovulate this month. Last year I took Metformin and it gave me really bad headaches and I did not ovulate on it either. Well anyway I hoope this helps and I would seek the advice of another Dr. Take care and keep good thoughts.

I am sure that you can at least find a Dr in Houston it is a very big city. Good luck and when are you moving to Texas? Were your periods that long before the meds that they have put you on? There is no reason that you should have to bleed for that long. If you were normal before the meds then If it were me I would consider going off the pills until I got to Texas and found a Dr that knew what he was talking about!!! Of course that is just the opinion of a person who when on birth control pills bleeds like that. I can not take the pill for that reason. Hope this helps and feel free to email me at any time if you need an encouraging word. Take care. >>Donna >>
