Dear Donna, I never really thought about it until you mentioned it but yes i do bleed more on medication than i do when off medication; that is so bizzare!!!! I have taken myself off meds for long stretches of time and not bled once, no sign of a period at all up to 6 months, but then when i do get them they hit me with avengence. Another stange thing is each time i have my blood work done and hormone(!!!) levels done everything but my iron levels(obviously) come back normal. I will be moving to Tx in November of this year, and infact spoke to my partner about you :) and this site and the fact that it seems all the preffered specialists in Tx are infact in Houston, which isn't too far away...he was very happy that not only do i have someone to speak to but that it will be easy to get help for me when he and i wish to have children, and in general just stay at some reasonable level of health....how have you been Donna???????? There is no reason that you should have to bleed for that long. If you were normal before the meds then If it were me I would consider going off the pills until I got to Texas and found a Dr that knew what he was talking about!!! Of course that is just the opinion of a person who when on birth control pills bleeds like that. I can not take the pill for that reason.
