Hi Annette,

I wonder who has prescribed you this combination of medicines? Spironolactone is a weak antiandrogen (much weaker than the cyproterone acetate in Diane) so why were they prescribed together. But if your hair loss is as severe as you describe it, you may take cyproterone in higher doses (Androcur) and it will definitely help. Anyhow hair loss takes 6-12 months to reverse and even longer for new hair to grow. Saw Palmetto and vitamins are fine but don't expect results from them. Hope this helps
