Hello, my name is Annette...and I am a 28 year old woman with PCOS. I have heard people adress "infertility, acne, weight gain and hirsutism," but nothing really about "scalp hairloss." I have "Androgenic Alopecia." My hairloss got really bad about 5 months ago...and it keeps getting worse. I am using a product called "Thymuskin," and I was wondering if anybody else has heard of it or tried it? I also take Metformin, Spironolactone, Diane-35, Saw Palmetto, and MSM...and tons of vitamins. The "Thymuskin" seemed to be helping at first...but now my hair is falling out again. This is very difficult for me. My hair is down to my butt...and has always been "thick & beautiful." Now, it is falling out...and I am afraid of looking like I have "mange." Does anyone else have "hairloss problems?" I am going to see an "Endocrinologist" in a couple of weeks...hopefully he can help. I want to be put on "Proscar," but am I kidding myself about "new hair growth?" The "Thymuskin" products are very expensive....I have already sunk $650.00 into them. They say it is "94%effective in women." I don't know though. It takes 12 months to see any new hair growth...and by the time that rolls around...you have spent lots of money. I also, have the weight problem...and the hirsutism. The acne and oily skin are not as bad as they used to be. I do not want children....wouldn't it be better just to take my ovaries out?? Would that, and putting me on a heavy adrenal anti-androgen be better? Maybe take away some of this problem? Right now...I am losing weight....I work out...the whole deal. Low carb....everything. I feel like I am "cursed." Often, I have thought of just slitting my throat, but I know that it is not the answer. Can anyone help me? Offer any information on hair loss and PCOS...I have researched...and researched...I just want an opinion...of someone who is experiencing this. Please help me...I am at my wits end.
