Wow. I find your post to be very truthful and bold. I can't tell you how many times I've actually had a Dr. tell me "Oh, so you're being treated for PCOS with BCPs" and then they push the subject off like it really IS a TYPICAL TREATMENT, when, in fact, it's certainly not. Why do Dr's feel this way?? Why do we "cysters" have such a hard time getting Dr's to believe us and treat us correctly? So far, Sam is the ONLY Dr who seem to truly believe what PCOS is all about and understands the entire dilemma associated with it (which includes the neglect of so many Dr's). I praise you for not being blinded to the truth and for your true desire to help us PCOS women with our ongoing battle. I just wish you weren't the ONLY Dr out there who is compassionate and understanding enough to realize that there simply is no cure for PCOS as of yet, but there are treatments available---and that you know WHICH ones are actually for PCOS. All I can say is THANK YOU.

The only way is the trial and error method, but again: the pill is no treatment for PCOS. Thus it seems to be futile to suggest any particular brand of pill to each other. For cycle regulation the administration of gestagens is much better than taking any contraceptive, and there is room for estragen treatment as well in cases of prolonged bleeding.
