I was just diagnosed with PCOS about 1 1/2 ago. I have FINALLY found an endo that was sympathitc with my condition & listened to me. She has FIMNALLY put me on the right meds.to treat me from what I've seen on the boards. I have every imaginable problem related to this syndrome known possible. I sometimes get teased by some of my peers like I enjoy going to the Drs. all the time or something. But at any case. All these meds. I'm on I don't know how & when to take them. I've heard so many conflicting reports I don't know what to belive. Here's a list of what I'm on currently: Meridia 15mg 1x/day (weight), Spironolactone 50mg 2x/day (hirutisim), Atenolol 50mg 1x/day (high bp), Levoxyl 0.1mg 1x/day (hypothyroid, I think, I get them confused), ortho-tricyclen 1x/day (to regulate my cycles a little more), and FINALLY Glucophage XR 500mg 3pills 1x/day suppose to be at dinner (insulin resistence.) Some conserns I have is that since I am on so many meds. is there any possibilty that they can be counter acting with each other. Basically cancelling out the effects of one med? Also, is there any foods or over the counter meds. etc. I should watch Also I've heard that one can only be taken 2 hrs. before any meds. or you eat anything, others you have to take with food. Others with dinner. It drives me nuts sometimes & hard to keep up with. Any suggestions from women on similar meds. & what they do, how they take them & what works best for them. ANY suggestions would be greatly apprecitated. Thanks in advance!!!
