Ok, weight or PCOS--what's the cause?!

Hello everyone. I just had my Dermatology appt. today and was Dx with Rosacea---which I never imagined I have. Ok, that's the simple part. The Dr. I saw gave me 4 Rx (I have to pick up tomorrow), 1 being Vaniqua, the others I can't read! lol He is telling me that my hair growth and acne are caused by my weight and NOT PCOS, and said that Spiro probably wouldn't work because it's an anti androgen, and that my hair growth is caused from WEIGHT and not testosterone. Does this make any sense?? Has anyone else heard of this?? He also told me about the stomach stapling surgery and said it's an option for those with a severe weight problem, and I fit right in. Well, thanx for slapping me in the face. I asked him "Isn't that a surgery for those who tend to overeat?" and he said yes, but that it might just work overall. He told me to speak to my regular Dr. about it. If overeating is NOT my problem, than how can reducing the size of my stomach help me lose weight when no diet I have tried will? I've also read that this surgery limits you in many ways, and not just on the AMOUNT of food you can intake. You're not allowed spicy foods, soda, juice, etc. as they may make the staples let go. I can't live without my spicy foods and juice. Isn't there something else I can do?? Is it really my WEIGHT that's caused all of this including the PCOS, or is it just as we've always thought---that PCOS causes the weight and is the main culprit?? I'm so confused I don't know what to think. --Zowie :(
