Hi Marti,

The poor tolerance of Metformin is a constant feature of this board, so you really could have checked it for yourself. But in general, taking it with meals, avoiding certain types of food (which you have to find out yourself) helps. In worst cases combining it with imodium solves the worst problems of vomiting and diarrhea. Actos and Avandia have not been fully explored for the treatment of PCOS besides the benefit of weight loss falls away. So let's give Metformin a try again
