Hi ladies, I am new here, but this is my second message to the board...I put one out a few days ago re: my poor tolerance of Metformin and no one has responded :( But... looking back over several months of postings, I figure it's because this is not a NEW issue...so many people have problems with this drug it seems, unfortunately. I am seeing my RE this week and was looking for some hope from anyone out there with any luck with other meds...been reading a bit about Avandia and Actos, but don't want the weight gain side effect if it is severe (don't think any of us need that !!) At this point, however, I'd take a little over the severe nausea and vomitting I've had with Metformin. Any help is appreciated....also, are the doctors less likely to try these other drugs that are related to the old rezulin (avandia and actos) because they worry about liver toxicity??? THANKS
