I currently use Avandia and plan to stop it and >start a bc pill. In reply to your question, I was recently diagnosed and my doctor put me on a birth control pill called Lo-Ovral. It works great for me. I have less pain from the cysts, lost the weight i couldn't lose, and have less mood swings.
