Can't tolerate Metformin..help! I'd like to hear from someone who has had problems with taking metformin (Glocophage), but eventually overcame them, or found other, more tolerable meds that work. I can't seem to get beyond 500mg., despite going VERY slowly with upping the dose. Within the first month of the 500 mg., I got a period, but now (2 months plus later and unable to tolerate more)I'm stuck in a rut...my endo has talked about possibly trying other meds related to the old Rezulin and I see her this week to decide on our next step, but it is so helpful to hear from others who have "been there, done that"!
