I have read in a few sources that since spironalactone (sp) is very hard to absorb properly, this is one case where generic is NOT as good as name brand. something to consider... this may or may not actually be true. :) (although, the first time i was on this med, i took generic, and saw no effects... the second time, i had name brand, and saw effects quite quickly. however, my lack of effects the first time could have been due to my half-assed 16-year-old method of taking medications, not the drug's genericness...)
