HI, I chose Actos because I was scared of the Glucophage (Met) side affects. I have done really well with Actos my insulin has normalized and I am ovulating nad having periods every 26 days..no side affects at all...but the one thing I am missing is the weight loss that occurs with Met people seem to loose weight without even trying at first when put on Met. I actually gained 5 lbs with Actos..If your thin to begin with this shouldnt be an issue..but if your heavy like me...you might not want to gain that extra 5 lbs at first. I have lost that 5 lbs since by dieting and exersize...if you play softball 6 times a week it sounds like your getting plenty of exersize and this might not even be an issue for you with Actos.
