Hi, I have been on Actos for almost 4 months and have had no side effects. It has helped control my insulin levels and combined with taking Spiro, it has reduced alot of the side effects of PCOS. If you are very active, I would suggest Actos. It is a newer version (3rd generation)of the insuling sensitizing drugs. It is metabolized in your liver vs kidneys with Met/Gluco..so you will need to have regular liver tests done with your doctor. With it being the newer version....no horrible digestive/bowel problems. My mother has been taking Glucophage for 6 months and it has been very disruptive for her. Talk with your doctor though and do some research on both before you decide. I can only give you my experience with Actos, and it has been very positive. Good luck...Kimberly
