Glucophage, Actos - I'm new here

Hi, I am new to this posting - but have spent some time looking through many many archived postings and learned a lot. I am a long time "diagnosee" of PCOS, but have never tried been prescribed anything but BCP & Spiro, yesterday went to RE and he wants to put me on Glucophage or Actos. The benefits appear to out-shine the drawbacks except... I am reading quite a lot about the diahrea.. this is a concern for me as I am an avid & extremely active Softball player (6 games a week and tournaments pretty much every weekend 9 months a year) and wonder how extreme a side-effect this is going to be- I know this probably sounds silly, but I am trying to gauge how my life is going to change or if I am worrying in advance for little-to-nothing. Sorry for such a long story here. Thanks
