diagnosed at 16, now undiagnosed!!!!!

I am very confused at the moment. I went to a new gyn yesterday who said that according to the blood tests done about three months ago, I do not show signs of PCO. When I asked him teh reasons for havig been with no period for nine months after stopping Diane, he said that I am probably a case of "pill amenhorrea" and that I should wait at least 12 months without a period so that they can look into why is it that I don't get one. The thing is, I was diagnosed when I was 16 with having PCO,precisely through blood tests, I have acne which doesn't seem to respond to any topical treatment and which was not there while I was on Diane (And the gyn said that acne is something that "just happens" to some people...and that at my age (25)it is normal for hormones to be flucuating and thus get acne!!!!Frustrating, because he only gave me as an alternative wait for a further six, or twelve months to see if I don't get a period, and then do another set of tests to rule out something else. Now, my question is: is is possible to stop having PCO? If so, why is it that I still have acne and increased body hair (maybe my partly spanish genes, ha!! I've heard that excuse before thank you!), and why is it that even though I have a reasonable weight, I still have to be extra careful and I put on weight really easily... If anybody knows of a good doctor here in Britain, preferably either in London or Manchester, I'd love if you could tell me about her (or him). I am fed up of being told that I am fabricating my condition and that I just should keep on going on looking like a hairy spotty creature. Sorry about the lenght and whinginess of the message, but I had to get it off my chest, a long history of clashes with doctors... Hope you can share with me similar experiences and what you did to sort out your problems. Many thanks, you are all wonderful and supportive!
