Hello ladies. Thanks for responding. Ok, I had another follow up today. I went to the ER on Wednesday and they gave me an IV, antibiotic for the UTI (that I didn't even suspect I had) and a shot for my nauseau which didn't work. I started Phenergan (suppository) which also didn't work to help my nausea. Today, the Dr. said it might be a stomach virus--she did not agree that the UTI would cause this. She Rx. a different suppository (Tigan) which is 200 mg. (vs. the 25mg. of Phenergan). I was told this should work in about 10-15 minutes. Well, that hasn't worked either. The only "good" thing is that it did make me drowsy--several hours after taking it. She told me to hold off on the Met for 3 days. If I'm still sick after 2-3 days to come back. Hopefully the diarrhea will stop too. If I'm not feeling better by Sunday night, I'm making an appt. for Monday. This will be the 4th appt. within a week (plus the ER visit) that I've had for this. They've been booking my appt. as "Urgent" status--to get me seen right away. I hope they can do the same if needed on Monday. I did leave a message for the Dr. that Rx. the Met and asked about Actos or Avandia instead. I was taking 500 mg. of Met 2x/day. I just CANNOT deal with the constant nausea and now nauseousness on top of that. Even though I've been eating more, I still am the same. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday to hear back from this Dr. since the clinic already closed today. By then, I should either be feeling better, or back in my regular clinic. They'll also do another pregnancy test if I go back Monday--even though I took one last week and it was (-). My husband's been gone for 2 weeks so far and it's been at least a month since we've done anything. I don't think another test is necessary, but that's what the Dr. said. I'll let you know what happens after Monday. But for now, I'm still feeling sick and am experiencing hot flashes and that weird, "chilly" feeling again. My temp was 97.3 today, although my face was burning up. The nurse said that's just my body trying to correct itself because it's a little cold--but still "normal". I just can't take this anymore. I'm starting to get so depressed because I feel like this constantly and there's been NO relief. Sorry for whining, I'm just truly miserable. I can't even function at home--I baked a pizza the other day and forgot to remove the cardboard before placing it on the pizza pan! I almost swallowed my Met pill last night when I thought it was my antibiotic! It was in my mouth before I realized I had the wrong pill! Gosh, how StUpId I've become! I can't live like this! I'll give you an update on Monday. Thanks for all the help!!!
