Met and CONSTANT diarrhea

Hello ladies. I have been on Met since 1-9 and have had CONSTANT diarrhea since the very first pill. I had to call 911 to be brought to the ER last night due to severe nausea, dizziness, and blurred vision. They told me I had a UTI (urinary infection)---news to me. I've been just fine in that dept.--but I did have 2 boils, 1 of which still remains there, and am on antibiotics for it. They had to give me an IV, inclusive of an antibiotic for the UTI and another medicine through IV for my nausea. It didn't work. They even Rx me Phenergan suppositories for my nausea and those aren't working. I'm wondering if this is due to the Met, since I didn't take it yesterday (I couldn't eat anything) and that was the ONLY day I didn't have diarrhea. Have I just not given the Met time to fix this problem? I am so horribly sick that I can't drive, move around and am having difficulty just reading what I'm typing here. I constantly feel like I'm going to vomit--but never do. My face is frequently flush and hot, yet my temp. is "normal" (it was 98.3 in the ER although I was burning up). I've been trying to get a hold of the Dr. that Rx me the Met to talk to her, but the lines are screwed up. Just wondering if it hasn't been long enough for the Met to start working and stop making me sick. Any other suggestions of meds I can ask for in place of the Met that doesn't have these side effects? I desperately need some relief. I just can't go on like this. Thanks a lot.
