Dear Jaywitch,

There are no miracle drugs, but metformin works. It only needs time. Due to the time needed to reset your ovarian cycle nad to the long growth-cycle of hair follicles, some 6 months are needed for appreciable results as hair growth/loss. You may expect your cycle get regular and lose weight earlier. Hope this helps Sam (Ob/Gyn,RE)
