Hi,

My name is debbie and I was diagnosed with pcos about 6 mos. ago. I have been trying to concieve for 1.5 years. I have been on 1500mg of glucophage since 11/18/00. I still have severe diarrhea, stomache aches, tiredness, and I have only lost 6 lbs on a low carb diet and I'm at my whits end now. I'm wondering if anyone out there has any success with all this insanity. I just don't know if I'm beating a dead horse. How do I know if any of this is working for me? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The policy is to start at the lowes dose (500 mg/day) and increase it gradually. You should take them with meals and if nothing helps, imodium is still a bet. I would not start clomid before giving metformin alone a chance.
