Hi Kim, I've just started taking Metformin and from what I've found out, if it works for you as a PCOS treatment then you should start ovulating more regularly which, by rights, should enable you to concieve. An article posted on the Pavilion by one of the doctors recommends you start using contraception if you are not planning on getting pregnant, so that all sounds quite positive. There are even some doctors who recommend that you stay on it whilst pregnant. Type 'metformin' in to a search engine and see what it throws up - I've found lots of interesting stuff that way.
