Re: Dr. Wu at UCLA

Hello,

I also saw Dr. Wu at UCLA when my problems first began about four years ago. I have to say I agree with the other post that he's a man of few words and I certainly did not come away with any answers (after waiting for him for 2 hours, too). I was glad that I had already begun to educate myself as to PCOS, etc. I gave him all of my blood work and told him about my migraine headaces. Oddly, he prescirbed the one birth control pill that has the highest rate of strokes in migraine sufferers! I was extrememly dismayed when I found this out and was thankful I had not yet filled that prescription. Also, I was a bit offended when he suggested that I had a big "fat pad" and a hump on my back which, fortunately I don't have. I wondered if that comment had something to do with him being such a slight man and my being not only I overweight but also quite a bit taller than he combined with my "amateur" knowledge of the syndrome. Who knows. Anyway, that's my two cents worth. Continued best of luck to those who are having success with him.
