Hi! I am a nineteen year old (almost twenty) that was diagnosed two days ago (February 5) with PCOS. My blood work for everything came back normal, with the exception of an elevated LH (lutemizing hormone). Pap smears and pelvic exams also came back normal. The OB/GYN put me on 200 mg of Prometrium (Progesterone, USP) to stop my constant uterine bleeding and to make me ovulate regularly. I am to take it the first ten days of every month. I am 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weigh 234 pounds.

Has anybody else been on this medication and how well has it worked for you? If it didn't work for you, what are you taking or doing now to control your PCOS?

Thank you for all of your help.
