BCP's What Kind?

Hello All,

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1999. My symptoms did not become apparent until after my first daughter was born in 1997. I was on BCP's (OrthoNovum 7/7/7) up until 3 months before I concieved and I had started BCP's at the age of 13 for severe mensus. Once I was diagnosed and the rest of the tests were run I was placed on Clomid and became pregnant with my second daughter. My youngest daughter was born in June 2000 and a few months later I was placed back on BCP (Triphasil)

The Triphasil is no longer working. My periods are starting to become late, my weight is starting to creep back up (I lost 70 pounds after my daughter was born and only gained 5 during the entire pregnancy), and acne and whiskers are starting to reappear.

I have an appointment with an Endo in 2 weeks. However, I was told by another PCOS sufferer that I am on the wrong kind of pill and that is why I am having problems....that I should be on a BCP that disperses a low level of hormones throughout the month. What brand name would this type of pill be? I has on Orthotricyclene before Triphasil and that yeilded even worse results of non-stop bleeding.

Should I try to get on a different type of pill? Or should I try something like Met?? I am at a total loss and I really want to do something about this because on top of the usualy symptoms I also suffer from a deeper then normal voice and a total lack of sex drive (My POOR hubby!).

I would appreciate any insight that you might be able to offer! :o)
