I started at 1500 mg/day and nothing happened till the 4th month. I then had a period the 4th and 5th month ( I also had been dieting, watching my carb intake and lost a little weight). Then, nothing for the next year. I was SO unhappy and thought Glucophage had fizzled out for me. Then, I upped my dose to 2000 mg/day and have since been having a period almost monthly. I think I may be ovulating some of the cycles but other cycles seem too far apart to be ovulatory (45-60days apart) but at least I'm glad to be having periods at all. Hope this info is of use to you.
