I have had laser hair removal on my chin and upper throat area and love it. I had three treatments - each 5 weeks apart. It cost a total of $500. The worst was the first treatment because I had to go 10 days without plucking - gross! The Dr. picks 5 weeks intervals based on the average hair growth period. Each treatment took about 5 minutes. It was not very painful. It felt like someone flicked their fingernails against my skin - about 100 times! The sensation went away within half an hour. I did not have any burning. So far, 3 weeks after my last treatment, I have not had any regrowth. the next 6 weeks will be the real test, I guess. There are several different machines used. My doctor used the one described on this web page http://www.rockymountainlaser.com/aboutlaser.htm

Good luck.
