Sorry I can't help you with the medication question. But, did your doctor check your thyroid and for endometriosis too? Most likely, the answer will be "yes", but just thought you might want to check if it's "no". Also, could it be possible you're nearing menopause? My mom had very heavy and crampy periods that worsened as she got closer to that time. And....it IS possible to have biological children and have PCOS, so I'm not trying to rule that out!
